UK Payroll Specialist

Sterling Outsourcing is an international business with offices in Krakow. The business provides Outsourced Accounting and Finance services for customers in the UK and US. Sterling have been established since 2006. We are growing and are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team, our office is conveniently located just 5 minutes from Krakow’s main square.

Responsibilities include:

  • Process and deliver Payroll for UK based employees
  • Deal with Payroll Journals, Payroll Year End procedures (P60, P11D etc)
  • Complete statutory returns and provide any data or filings for regulatory purposes (e.g. RTI)
  • Proficiently using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel & Outlook
  • Excellent time management, administration skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Responsible for scheduling and prioritising client payrolls and delivering projects as required
  • Liaising with the other Payroll Specialists in the team to ensure timely and accurate service delivery in line with Service Level Agreements and excellence in customer service experiences
  • Serve as a back-up for other team members and able to handle all key payroll processing areas
  • Maintaining and further developing the relationship with new and existing customer base including the facilitation of client reviews and meetings
  • Regular auditing of documentation to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Participate in payroll process improvement projects, efficiencies, automation and systems enhancements
  • Maintenance of effective controls and business continuity plans with sensitivity to data security
  • Ensuring compliance with all internal controls, KPIs, budgets and other financial and quality control matters
  • Participation in projects as requested including system implementation, process reviews, product/service innovation, testing etc
  • Be enthusiastic and passionate about providing clients with the highest level of service
  • Flexibility to meet changes in working requirements is essential

Successful Candidate:

  • Experience in UK Payroll
  • Genuine passion for payroll and eager to learn
  • Very good written and spoken English as the job is carried out solely in English
  • Able to work on their own initiative and contribute to the success of the team
  • Motivated by providing the highest level of client service.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge
